Congressional Earmarks

Congressional earmarks are projects that congressmen and congresswomen fund by the government, but not relevent to the entire country itself. The earmarks made by individual congressmen usually benefit only the states they are representing. Earmarks upset many Americans because some of the projects have nothing to do with anything if they are in different states, so it is a waste of money that could be spent on more important issues. The one that is completely obsurd and has nothing to do with the entire country would be the sex life of Japanese quail, this has absolutely nothing to to with any of yhe states ormeven the country, since they are quail from Japan. I think that this will not help the country in any way, so we just wasted money. To help keep track of the money being spent, we should have a overseeing committee of civilians who keeps track and judges if they will help the country or not.
